Mouth4Rusty

Mouth 4 Rusty started writing and recording simple songs in February 2009, writing them in about an hour and recording them in around three, so as to preserve the moment they were written. We started playing live in August, first as a trio, with percussion played with our feet, before adding a percussionist in October. We're currently auditioning for a cellist as our fifth and final member.

Mouth 4 Rusty's intention is to make simple, traditionally-inspired songs that people can relate to, hummable music based on life as it unfolds, as early folk music was. To be able to play anywhere easily, we play portable acoustic instruments that can easily be carried on public transport. It makes moving around as a group way more pleasurable, minimalises the impact on the environment and reduces transport costs.
