Local Mondays - Timothy Victor's Folk Orchestra, Brigid Power Ryce, plus Dominique Mon 13th October 2008 Big Chill House, Pentonville Road, Kings Cross

The Folk Orchestra (Live)

Following their riotous performance on our stage at The End Of The Road Festival, we’re delighted to have this bunch back to kick start the week! Oh, and it's absolutely FREE!

There’s a place called Moscow in Polk County, Texas. There’s also a Moscow on the banks of the Moskva river in Russia. The Folk Orchestra have visited neither of these places and probably never will but their sound owes much to both the southern states of the USA and Eastern Europe.

Swinging, lyrically wry alt.folk, which taps both southern USA and eastern European traditions. TimeOut

Brigid Power-Ryce (Live)

An artist and musician, Brigid grew up learning the accordion by ear in the upstairs of a London Irish pub, moved to Galway when she was 12, then went to live in New York when she was just 18. Now back in London, Brigid brings her languid brand of acoustic folk to the Big Chill House. Don’t miss this.
